“Unfolding” encapsulates the creative process behind work of the six women artists from Studio 6
The show represents a new collection of work from Studio 6 which is a shared artist space based in the Sunday School Building at 323 Queen Street in Auckland.
Studio 6 offers the six women artists space to develop as well as support and encourage each other to make art that is meaningful.
The theme of this show is “Unfolding”, the creative process behind the work, with Studio 6 being the place that unifies them and allows the work to develop and “unfold”.
Their work is all influenced by the many facets of their lives: daily experiences, relationships, community as well as what’s going on in the wider world.
Studio 6 allows the artists to flourish and to feel energised, motivated and creatively brave - The collection of work is an illustration of this.
