Stephanie Postles paintings are centred around capturing moments from her personal life and giving those moments a sense of permanency by transferring them into painting. 

Painting for her is a way of solidifying memories and turning them into tangible records. 

Visually the paintings celebrate a kind of quiet beauty found in the somewhat banal passing of daily life. Each painting is a glimpse into a personal space and constructed with the rich patterns and textures which surround these people and places. 

The ideas that form and surround this exhibition are in response to Postles experiencing memory loss as a young woman in the wake of experienced trauma.
