Frances Rood

Influenced by my past work as a Set Designer for Theatre, this group of work with its simplified forms and reduced visual language, has an underlying architectural approach.

"Sight Lines", explores ideas on abstraction, using colour, line, surface, and geometry to create a contrast of architectural dimensionality and geometric flatness.

These elements combined describe an illusory space, and activate the spectator’s view to an ambiguous optical play of surface and depth on a two dimensional plane.
