After many years of studying the figure structurally, a looser, more expressive energy started to form in his work.

Several years ago, Simon decided he wanted to 'get back to basics using pencil and paper' and so this started his exploration into the figure.

"I have a great desire to invoke some deeper level of thought or emotion in my subject".

His ability to 'perform' live with confidence and ease will no doubt become his future trademark.
