Do you have a favourite colour?

Not as such. Actually an odd painting quirk often finds me selecting colours I’m _not_ particularly enamoured of to work with.

How do you take your coffee?

Mainly black, a habit learned at the studio (where we have either no milk, or several open cartons of indeterminate age). And usually cold by the time it gets drunk. A long macchiato if not making it myself.

Is there something you can't live without in your studio?

Toilet paper

Who is your favourite artist of all time / now and why?

Egon Schiele, kindled when at age 10 I first saw a print of ‘Seated Woman with Bent Knee’ on the wall at my best friend’s house. I studied this poster for years, trying to figure out how and why she was so striking, and eventually painted several studies and a self-portrait as a kind of homage.

5 things or phrases that explain you or your art?
